The team knew the website needed more than a new theme – it required a complete overhaul, both in terms of aesthetics and how it worked.  So, we set out to transform Homework Hookup’s online presence into something that genuinely captured Richard’s passion and made it easy for students to connect with him.

Rebooting the homepage hero area

The redesigned website greets visitors with a clean, informative, and visually stunning hero area. Potential students are now presented with the information they need above the fold, setting the stage for an engaging and seamless user experience.

A more visual Subjects page

Subjects now come to life through elegant boxes adorned with branded, custom illustrations and compelling descriptions. This approach not only enhances the visual appeal but also provides a clear understanding of the offerings available to students.

A better way to explore classes

A dedicated Classes page allows readers to explore a comprehensive list of subjects, unveiling the unique benefits of Richard’s online tutoring services as they scroll down. This feature empowers prospective students to make informed decisions about their academic journey.

Showcasing expertise on the About page

The brand-new About page showcases Richard’s love for education and passion for self-discovery. By highlighting his personal journey and commitment to student success, the page fosters a sense of trust and connection with the audience.

A hub of knowledge on the blog

Recognizing the importance of content marketing and SEO, the redesigned website incorporates a blog section. Here, Richard can share his expertise, provide valuable tips for students, and establish Homework Hookup as a knowledgeable and helpful resource in the tutoring field.

Fueling growth and engagement through SEO

A strategic blog content plan was developed to enhance the website’s impact, focusing on SEO, user helpfulness, and relevance to the tutoring services offered. In addition to the visual and content enhancements, several optimizations were implemented to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience. 

User experience (UX) audit —  A comprehensive UX audit was conducted to identify and rectify any navigational issues, broken links, or user experience barriers, enhancing the overall website experience and potentially reducing bounce rates while increasing engagement.

Mobile optimization check — With the growing prevalence of mobile devices, the website was thoroughly optimized for mobile users, ensuring optimal load times, responsiveness, and navigability, aligning with Google’s mobile-first indexing approach.

Optimized XML sitemap creation — An updated XML sitemap was developed and submitted using the Yoast SEO plugin, assisting search engines in efficiently crawling and indexing the website’s pages, thereby enhancing its SEO effectiveness.

Meta title and description refresh — All pages’ meta titles and descriptions were comprehensively updated, aligning them with targeted keywords and current SEO best practices, improving click-through rates from search engine results, and ensuring relevance to user queries.
